Current Employment Statistics 2007 Benchmark Revision Notes

NOTE TO DATA USERS, as of February 28, 2008:

The Current Employment Statistics data series have been revised to reflect annual benchmark revisions. Statewide seasonally adjusted employment estimates have been revised for 2003 to 2007. The employment data are also seasonally adjusted for ten super sectors and seventeen sub-sectors.

Unadjusted statewide data have been revised back to 2006.

Data for the Brockton-Bridgewater-Easton, MA NECTA Division are revised from 1998 to 2007 and the Barnstable, MA NECTA data are revised from 2000 to 2007. All other areas are revised for 2006 and 2007.

Monthly estimates for 2008 for the Leominster-Fitchburg-Gardner, MA NECTA area and the Pittsfield, MA NECTA area are no longer published by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, but are being produced and published by Massachusetts.
