Current Employment Statistics 2008 Benchmark Revision Notes

NOTE TO DATA USERS, as of of March 5, 2009:

The Current Employment Statistics data series have been revised to reflect annual benchmark revisions. Statewide seasonally adjusted employment estimates have been revised for 2004 to 2008. The employment data are also seasonally adjusted for ten super sectors and seventeen sub-sectors.

Unadjusted statewide data have been revised for 2007 and 2008.

As of July 16, 2009 monthly estimates for the Leominster-Fitchburg-Gardner, MA NECTA and the Pittsfield, MA NECTA have been validated by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.
