BOSTON - January 8, 2008 --- The following schedule lists the monthly release dates of state and local unemployment information and jobs data for 2008 by the Massachusetts Division of Unemployment Assistance, under the Department of Workforce Development.

The unemployment rate and jobs data for Massachusetts are released on the third Thursday of each month. Local area unemployment statistics are released on the Tuesdays following the release of the state unemployment rate and jobs data.

Please note that as a result of annual state benchmarking activity, unemployment data for the month of January, which will include revised unemployment data for calendar year 2007, will be released on Thursday, February 28. The other two exceptions to the third Thursday time frame are on August 14 and January 22, 2009.
