Occupational Employment and Wages

Massachusetts occupational employment and wage data are derived from the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics program, a program operated in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The data are collected statewide and for seven Metropolitan New England City and Town Statistical Areas (NECTA's) and Divisions. In addition, the Division of Unemployment Assistance produces occupational employment and wages for the Commonwealth's 16 Workforce Investment Areas (WIA's).

NOTE TO DATA USERS: As of May 9, 2008, the May 2007 survey data are available. Data include employment, median, mean, entry and experienced occupational wages. Annual wage data will be displayed, hourly data can be accessed by clicking the hourly data button at the top of the data results page. For assistance, please email detlmi@detma.org
Access area information and maps

If you are having trouble viewing data or the help screens, check to make sure that any pop-up or ad blockers that you may have installed are turned off.

  Instructions: Follow the steps below to set up your query for OES information...
 1.
Select the Geography
Choose an area type from the list. If 'State' is chosen, the next box will be defaulted to 'Massachusetts.'

Select the Specific Geographical Area
Select the Specific Geographic Area.
To select more than one option (if available), hold the 'ctrl' key as you select each option. To continue, click on the 'And Then Click Here' button.

To search for an occupation, enter the keywords below and click the 'Search' button to view a list of occupations. You must select the Specific Geographic Area before accessing the Search functionality.
