data is estimated each month. Information is produced on labor force, employment,
unemployment, and unemployment rates for the United States, the Commonwealth and
for each Labor Market Area (LMA), Workforce Investment Area (WIA), City and Town,
and County in Massachusetts. Use the query tool below to obtain Labor Force and
Unemployment data by area and time period.
NOTE TO DATA USERS: As of March 4, 2010 the 1976 through 2009 Statewide series have been revised to reflect the implimentation of smoothed seasonally adjusted estimates.
The local unemployment rates and labor force estimates have been revised for 2005 through 2009.
